About this spot
If you are looking for a few days away from the noise of the city, you will find what you need here: peace, nature and plenty of space for yourself alone. The hut stands on a hill at Vita bara on the Zelengora, away from the road and with no building right next to it. From the yard you look up at Bregoč (2,014 m), the highest peak of the Zelengora.
Inside you will find a simple, cosy mountain hut: a covered terrace, three beds in the attic, a pull-out seating corner and a reclining armchair on the ground floor, and a wood stove that keeps the hut warm. In the yard there is a fireplace for the evening fire, along with a place to sit and a swing. There is no WC inside. There is an outdoor toilet (a simple pit toilet). There is no electricity either; that is part of simple life on the Zelengora. Please keep this in mind before you send a request.
The area is hiking country: Orlovačko jezero is about five kilometres away, and on foot you can also reach the other lakes of the Zelengora: Borilovačko, Kotlaničko and Štirinsko jezero. Meadows, forests and mountain air are right outside the hut.
The hut is rented to people who love the mountains and nature, not for parties or larger gatherings. We ask you to treat the hut and its contents with care and to leave everything as clean and tidy as you found it. That way this little corner of the Zelengora stays beautiful for the next guests too. The season runs from June to September.
