About this spot

Welcome to Camping Pirol, our small, nature-oriented campsite in Gornja Breza, surrounded by green meadows, mountains, fruit trees, our vegetable garden and plenty of peace and quiet.

Here you will find a relaxed place to breathe and unwind, ideal for tents, vans, motorhomes, caravans, motorcyclists and cyclists looking for nature and quiet surroundings away from the big tourist crowds. For travellers touring the Balkans, Camping Pirol is also a lovely place for a restful break. At the same time, our site is a great base for exploring the area: Sarajevo is about 30 minutes away, the Pyramids of Visoko about 20 minutes.

Our campsite: around six pitches with a firm surface and lawns, where large motorhomes and caravans up to about 15 m long are welcome too, with a lovely view of the surrounding mountains and our garden. There is also a new sanitary container with two showers, two toilets and hot water for showering, a cosy seating area as a small garden lounge, a small, stylish kitchen with a fridge, two hotplates, a kettle and a washing machine, 220 V electrical hook-ups, fresh water and free Wi-Fi. A fire pit with wood and a grill, a copper cauldron and sticks for campfire bread are ready for you, and depending on the season there are fresh vegetables and eggs from our garden. Dogs on a lead are very welcome; water, waste water, Wi-Fi and tourist tax are included.

Besides the campsite, our spacious grounds are also home to our Apartment Pirol and the cosy vintage caravan tiny house “Sunflower”. This means families or small groups of up to six people can also stay with us together.

We love our garden, nature and the simple outdoor life, and we are happy to share this special place with people from all over the world. Come by, make yourself comfortable and enjoy a piece of Bosnia away from the classic tourist routes. We look forward to seeing you! Almedina & Andre

Getting there

From Sarajevo or Visoko, the easiest way to reach Camping Pirol is via the R445 or the A1 motorway. Take the Podlugovi/Breza exit and then follow the R444 towards Breza. In Breza, drive past the Robot supermarket in the centre and then keep following the signs or your navigation to Camping Pirol. Tip: We recommend using the main roads rather than the small, partly narrow side roads that some navigation systems suggest.

A warm welcome to Camping Pirol! We are Almedina and Andre, and we look forward to welcoming you. Our campsite lies in the middle of our green garden and natural landscape, surrounded by lush green hills and plenty of peace. We have been living in Bosnia and Herzegovina for several years and have created our small place here, where we bring together our love of nature, gardening and a simple, mindful life. We grow organic vegetables, look after our plants and animals and at the same time leave plenty of room for wild nature. We always enjoy meeting people from different countries, swapping stories and sharing our enthusiasm for this special part of Bosnia. Whether you are simply looking for peace, want to explore the area or are curious about life with us, feel welcome and a little at home. We speak Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, German and English.
