Štrbački buk (Una National Park)
Cascades of the Una river in Una National Park, up to 24 metres high. Entry fee, wooden walkways, a rafting destination in summer.
These are places whose hosts tick “dogs welcome” in their facilities. What that means in practice is up to each host. At Camping Pirol in Gornja Breza dogs are welcome on a lead. Some places have animals of their own: at Happy Farm near Ilijaš goats, chickens, a dog and a cat are part of daily life, and in Fojnica there are Bosnian mountain horses.
Mention in your request that your dog is coming along. For the trip it needs a microchip and a pet passport with a valid rabies vaccination. You do not need a rabies antibody test to return to the EU. Our guide on travelling with a dog has the details.
