Camping for hiking and cycling

At several of these places the trail starts at the gate. At Camp Turjanica near Čelinac loop trails lead from the site into the forest. Above Happy Farm near Ilijaš a forest begins with several paths. At Izletište Kugla near Vareš a built footpath starts at the site, and from there you can carry on to the Planinarski dom Mekuše mountain hut or onto the Vareška transverzala “Zvjezdane staze”. From the hut at Vita bara on the Zelengora you can hike to the mountain lakes: Orlovačko, Borilovačko, Kotlaničko and Štirinsko jezero.

By bike, the Vareška transverzala crosses the Zvijezda range and has its own mountain bike route. Near Posušje a road runs over Vučipolje past Lake Tribistovo to Brina. Below Happy Farm there is a long, straight road if you bring your own bikes. At Izletište Kugla you can store bikes in a garage.
